This version is supposed to have the fullest available support for simply converting mkv 264 files to dvd. I've tested it out (good will hunting film), and it seems to work great. It also has a newish looking interface, along with more menu options than before.


I'm not positive on this, but I believe this has multicore support. As the older versions of convertxtodvd used to max out at 50% CPU uasge for me, encoding around 5x normally. Now it goes above 50% CPU and encoded around 6x. HOWEVER, it only used like 67% CPU and the rest of it was unused, so I'm not sure why it maxes out there but yea, thats my 2 cents.

Why do I need it and how it works?
